R&R M&M #5

Hey Ladies!

I hope you've had a wonderful week chewing on His Word.  We've been having a great time planning and praying for the future of M&M...thanks to all of you who were praying along with us.  Do any of you have any stories or "God Sightings" (as Barb calls them) from this week?  Please share with me if so- we'd love to encourage others through your experiences and/or anecdotes regarding how the Word was illuminated to you.

R&R M&M Week 4

Good evening, ladies!

I hope you've had a wonderful week.  I want to share a quick anecdote with you. We've been going through a bit of a stressful time and I had asked Barb to pray for me as I found myself becoming a little "bitter" about a situation we had going on with a contractor and that my heart was being hardened.  Anyhow, the verse that really spoke to me in this particular situation is Isaiah 51:3-

"The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord.  Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing".

My attitude in this situation has made my "walk" look like a wasteland or desert, but I do pray that God will restore my personal little wasteland to a garden like state because He is willing and able and would delight in doing so! To add to this, my heart melted when my little 19 month old little girl Emily started spontaneously singing (quite often this week) her version of "Holy Holy Holy".  Granted it sounds like "Ho-he, ho-he, ho-he" over and over again, but it really helped me put things in perspective in a lot of ways!  What a beautiful thing.  I pray that all of you have also found nuggets of God's wonderful goodness amidst any trials you may be going through.  M&M certainly helps with that as we chew on the delicious morsels of His Word!

Barb is in NC so our recording of this week's class might be coming a little late, but we wanted to go ahead and share a special video with you.  As you know, when M&M goes "abroad", Barb will be making video recordings of our classes in the future.  How cool is that?  We're trying to get the hang of how this will work so Barb has made her very first video.

M&M Starts Back Soon!

Good evening ladies!

We are so excited about R&R M&M coming up THIS Monday and Tuesday!  A few quick reminders:

1)  Mondays - 6:45pm - 8pm @ Jamestown Coffee (small donations towards the room reservation would be appreciated)

     Tuesdays - 12pm - 1:15pm @ Lexington Presbyterian Church - Sr. High Room

2)  Do you still have your "Thy Kingdom Come" and "Arise!" verse cards?  If so, bring them with you!

3)  We will be recording R&R M&M as we have done in the past so you can enjoy the verse review and stories online if you would like!  We know everyone is busy in the summer and can't always make it.

4)  If you haven't already "RSVP"d to me, would you mind doing that now?

Summer M&M

Hey everybody!

A common "remark" made by many M&M'ers is, "I love memorizing verses, but after the semester is done I forget them so quickly!  I wish I could have a better method of reviewing so that they will be more firmly planted in my heart".  Well my friends, have we got a plan for you!

Here's the deal- It will be very casual, a very relaxing time.  We will review verses from Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 and Barb will read us stories, her favorite!  I'm excited to spend as much time as I can listening to sweet Barb before she heads out for Japan, aren't you?  Please share with others who haven't M&M'ed before, they are welcome to join us too.

Dates:  June 11th/12th - July 30th/31st.  We'll break during VBS week because all of you will be volunteering, right? :)

Location:  Jamestown Coffee (donations for room rental appreciated)

Monday Nights - 6:45 - 8pm 

Tuesday Afternoons - 12pm - 1:15pm
